| Boston: Cheap Eats Finding low cost, high flavor food can be challenging, but it certainly isn’t impossible in Boston. Whether you want to it to bring it to Boston Common, to be part of the buzz before a big game, or to hide away from the world, finding the perfect meal on the cheap is still possible. Our Choice: Cask ‘n Flagon (62 Brookline Ave.) The Cask ‘n Flagon is truly in the shadow of Boston’s most legendary sporting venue – Fenway Park. Inside it’s a sports pub ‘till the end, serving up creamy New England clam chowder, monster burgers and a host of salads and sandwiches, most for under $10. This is THE place to be on Red Sox game days though, so check the schedule and arrive early. Also Notable: Volle Nolle (351 Hanover St.) Experience Boston’s famous North End at Volle Nolle (Latin for willy-nilly), a high impact, low cost Italian eatery. Breakfast and lunch sandwiches are house specialties, most coming in at under $7, and perfect to take out. Spice and Rice (1172 Cambridge St., Cambridge) A mix of Thai and sushi, Spice and Rice offers an amazing lunch special between 11am and 3pm on a variety of menu combinations for just $7. Even after lunch, the large portions and tasty food make this a great place to spend $10. --Beth Morrissey Where are your favorite cheap eats in Boston?
